Hazardous winter conditions are expected. Snowfall with total amounts of 25 to 30 cm is expected. Light snow will move into the region early this morning and become heavy at times this afternoon and evening. Northeast winds off of Lake Ontario combined with the higher terrain of the Niagara escarpment will lead to local snowfall enhancement from near Hamilton eastward across northern Niagara. These areas could see total snowfall amounts of 25 to 30 cm by early Tuesday morning.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
