Highway 3 - Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass
Hazardous winter conditions are expected.
A moist Pacific frontal system is set to swing over southern BC this evening.
Heavy snow will develop this evening over Highway 3 - Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass. Total snowfall amount of up to 35 cm can be expected over the pass by Tuesday afternoon. The heavy snow will ease late Tuesday as the system moves into Alberta.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
