2:17 PM CST Wednesday 04 March 2020 Snowfall warning in effect for areas in red

Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected.

A rapidly developing clipper system is moving through southern Manitoba this afternoon bringing significant snow to the area. Heavy snow has begun over the Riding Mountains and will spread southeastward into the evening hours. Total amounts of 10 to 15 cm are expected in the warned areas before the snow tapers off Thursday morning.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
