Well...we knew this was going to happen someday right? A cold snap is expected to intrude on the Prairie Provinces starting Tuesday, courtesy of an Arctic high pressure moving in (depicted below)
Areas of Alberta could see temperatures in the -20C as well as parts of Saskatchewan and southern Manitoba. The coldest days will be Wednesday to Friday before the high pressure moves east. After this cold spell, temperatures are not expected to reach above the freezing mark until mid-November.
