Burst of snow across RRV; -32C expected overnight

Updated: Dec 17, 2019

A quick burst of snow has impacted southern Manitoba and parts of North Dakota today. Here are 3 screenshots from the highway cameras across highway 75, which shows drifting snow and partly covered roads.

Prepare for roads to freeze up tonight as temperatures plummet once again.

Below is the temperatures expected tonight across the Red River Valley with temperatures expected in the -32C range and feeling like -40 with wind chill. The first image below is the forecasted air temperature (in C) and the second is the wind chill forecasted for midnight tonight.

Would not be surprised if an extreme cold warning or two be extended into southeastern Manitoba this evening.
