According to Environment Canada:
On January 27, 2019, a tornado hit Havana, causing damage to infrastructure and power cuts. Local authorities have asked people to stay indoors in the most affected areas which include Cerro, Santo Suárez, Luyanó, Vía Blanca, Regla and Chibás.
According to the Cuban president, 3 dead and 174 injuries have been reported so far as a strong tornado impacted the area overnight.
