Absolutely insane car pileup south of Barrie, Ontario after blizzard conditions pounded the area last night into this morning. Heavy snow and blinding whiteouts continue for the area. Highway 400 southbound is closed (see below).
Breaking situation right now with limited updates. It is unclear how many injuries (if any) have occurred due to this pileup at this time. Below is a webcam showing hwy 400 southbound jammed with traffic and EMS personel using the northbound lane to get to the accident sites.
