3:42 PM CST Friday 14 June 2019 Severe thunderstorm warning in effect for:
R.M. of Fillmore including Fillmore Creelman and Osage
R.M. of Wellington including Cedoux Colfax and Tyvan
Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing rainfall in excess of 50 mm, quarter-sized hail and wind gusts in excess of 90 km/h. At 3:40 PM CST Doppler RADAR indicated that this severe thunderstorm was located about 10 km south of Francis and was nearly stationary.
Doppler RADAR indicates that 50 to 75 mm of rain may already have fallen from this thunderstorm. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail. Thunderstorms are forming south and east of Regina. Some of these thunderstorms may become severe with hail to the size of loonies and wind gusts in excess of 90 km/h.
Thunderstorms will weaken this evening.

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
