Highway closures possible for Manitoba tomorrow

Strong northerly winds will invade the Red River Valley tomorrow afternoon evening behind a Clipper system, which will bring brisk northerly winds and extremely cold air to return to the province.

Strong wind gusts depicted above by the NAM 3km by Wednesday evening. This will cause blowing snow. According to Weatherlogics, this could also mean highway closures (see below).

Purple areas on the map above depicts possible closures. Here you can see hwy 75 from roughly Morris to the US border and Trans-Canada highway from Winnipeg to Portage La Prairie could experience closures by 9pm Wednesday evening.
