A strong Idaho low, which formed late Thursday, September 26,
prompted winter storm and snowfall warnings to be issued Friday,
September 27. This vigorous low pressure system interacted with
terrain in the southwest to bring total snowfall amounts as high as
80 centimetres, and blowing snow and gusty westerly winds behind the
low as it moves eastward. As the event is ongoing, these values may
need to be updated. You can report snowfall amounts via social media
