Road conditions are deteriorating across Southern Manitoba as a warm front moves across the province, bringing with it a mixed bag of precipitation.
Emergency personnel has already been dispatched near Portage La Prairie as ice-covered highways, including the Trans-Canada Highway, have been reported.

Early this morning, in southeastern Saskatchewan, there were reports of icy highways and webcams showing ice accumulation. Conditions were primarily caused by snow falling and melting and then refreezing in surface temperatures just below freezing as well as possible patches of freezing rain mixed in. Conditions continue to improve and the special weather statement will be ended in the next hour or so.
