The Trans-Canada Highway from Portage La Prairie to Brandon has just shut down in Manitoba. Below are what the road conditions look like near Austin, MB at 8:45am CST:

These road closures are due to freezing rain, which impacted the area this morning causing black ice on the roadways and sending motorists for the ditch. the freezing rain can be seen via radar below:
