Arctic airmass ahead next week for Prairies; -40 wind chills return

We hope you have been enjoying your "warm" temperatures across Manitoba because that all comes to an end starting Sunday. Several Arctic High pressures will eject through the Prairie Provinces throughout the next few days, however the strong high pressure settling in on Sunday is the one to watch (see below).

This high pressure will dominate the synoptic pattern across the Prairies for several days and bring very cold surface temperatures and dangerous wind chills.
